Senior Position for Technical Sales & Consulting (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Technical Sales and Consulting professional with an understanding of the maritime industry to help expand our digital navigation services, strengthen customer relationships, and engage with key stakeholders in the polar shipping community. In addition, you will assess and shape the value proposition of new digital features to ensure strong market fit and tangible client impact.

Drift+Noise Polar Services is a reliable and trusted distributor of sea ice information products. With the launch of our fully digital sea ice information service IcySea, we have become the go-to provider for practical sea ice navigation support of the international polar maritime community — including research institutes, the expedition cruise industry, cargo shipping companies, and private sailing operators.
Position Details
- Start date: As soon as possible
- Employment type: Full-time (part-time possible)
- Contract: Permanent position after a successful probation period
- Salary (full-time): €73.000 gross per year (plus profit share)
- Work location: Bremen / Hybrid
Your Main Tasks
Sales & Customer Management (IcySea):
- Attracting and onboarding of new clients
- Maintaining and developing existing customer relationships
- Managing the full sales cycle, including quotations, negotiations, and invoicing
- Direct client communication and first-level user support
Involvement in Research Projects:
- Gathering and structuring user feedback
- Identifying new user needs and market opportunities
- Contributing market knowledge and insights to project implementation
- Reporting and presenting results at international conferences
Your Profile
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Structured, solution-oriented working style with the ability to critically assess and improve sales workflows
- Advanced command of the English language (minimum C1 level)
- Ability to present products and project results at conferences, fairs, and client meetings
- Experience in B2B sales and consulting
- Background in the maritime or space industry is an advantage
