Our sea ice data services include data of different types from various sources. These data include Sea Ice Concentration data sourced from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, JAXA, MODIS optical data from NASA, as well as radar data from the Sentinel-1 mission of the European Space Agency, ESA.
Below, we showcase our Sea Ice Concentration data product.
Below are the most recent running composite sea ice concentration images for the Arctic and Antarctic gengerated hourly from the 6km spatial resolution AMSR2 data provided by JAXA. A running composite is a combination of multiple swaths of data; the latest swath extends the data of the previous composite image.
